== Show splash screen at startup ==

When checked, the splash screen is displayed on startup of the display application.

== Check for updates on start-up ==
__Default value: On__

When checked, when the display application is started, it will automatically check for updates available for the programme, this requires an internet connection. If an update is available, a balloon notification will be visible in the right-hand corner of the [[en:viewer.forms.main|main window]] in the status bar.

== Notification when leaving unsaved data ==
__Default value: On__

When checked, you are warned when closing a window where unsaved data is present and you risk losing these changes. You can choose whether to save the data or not. Unsaved data can be recognised by the icon {{:disk_black_error.png?nolink|}} "black diskette + yellow exclamation mark" in the status bar of a window; if all data have been saved, this icon will be completely grey.

Below is an example of the message when you try to close the [[en:editor.forms.main|main window]] trying to close with unsaved data with this option on.

== Exit application notification ==
__Default value: On__

When checked, you will be notified when you try to exit the display application, only after confirmation will the application actually exit.

== User interface language ==
__Default value: [Automatic]__

Through this option you determine the language of the application, the following options are available:

  * [Automatic]
  * English
  * Dutch

If the value is set to ''[Automatic]'' is set, the correct language will be chosen based on the language of Windows, this means that if you have a Dutch-speaking Windows, the application will be displayed in Dutch by default and in English automatically for all other languages. When selecting ''English'' or ''Dutch'' the application will simply be displayed in that language, regardless of the Windows language. 

This setting is only implemented when the display application is restarted.

__Default value: 100%__

Via this option you have the option to enlarge all texts within the display application. By selecting the desired percentage, the programme will adjust accordingly, a change will only be made when the programme is restarted.

This option allows you to give the application a dark color scheme. The "System" option will follow the Windows color scheme. A change will not be made until the program is restarted.
