Database information
Default value: Not applicable
Database information allows you to give your database a name, description and administrator. These fields are displayed in the main window in the Information and the name of the database is reflected in the title of the main window.
In the database designer application you specify whether this information is editable in the view application, there is also the option to lock this data so that it cannot be changed via the view application. In this case, the input fields are greyed out and a message is displayed. The image below shows the situation where the data cannot be modified.
Backups
Actions
Automatic backup when database is opened
Default value: On
With this option, you specify that every time the database is opened, a database backup is created automatically. This minimises the possibility of data loss.
Give notification when excessive database backups are present
Default value: On
If you create an automatic backup every time you open the database, the number of backups of your database grows significantly. Because the program never delete a backup by itself, you need to delete excess backups yourself to avoid filling up your disk space. To prevent this, if more than 100 database backups are found for one specific database, a message will appear when opening it to indicate that there are excessive database backups.
